中国近代贱民与底边社会——乔健教授晋东南乐户研究及其启示

The Low-cLass People and Bottom Society in Modern China——Prof.Chiao Chien’s Study of the Musician Families of Shanxi and Its Implications

乔健先生长期扮演两岸三地人类学、民族学界交流的枢纽,研究领域除了北美印第安人和两岸少数民族外,20世纪90年代开始关怀故乡晋东南乐户,以底层、边缘社会的视野探讨这类特殊群体。乔健先生及其研究团队经历长期田野调查,记录和保留了目前几乎完全消失的乐户生活面貌,及乐户与其他底层社会群体之间的社会网络关系,为相关研究奠定了厚实的基础。借由其乐户研究,不仅可以纪念乔健先生的学术贡献,而且可以思考贱民的法律行政与社会身份,以及包括贱民在内,被视为底层社会群体的自我意识与社会关系。

for a long time in the past,Professor Chiao Chien has functioned as a link between the ethnographers and anthropologists of China's Mainland,Taiwan and Hong Kong.His research field extends over Indians of North America,ethnic minorities on both sides of the Taiwan Strait,as well as the musician families of Shan’xi,his home province.He and his team have studied this low-class and marginalized group of people since the 1990s through long-time field work and have kept alive some important memories of this group who would soon disappear.He recorded their daily life and their social activities.His study of these musician families leads to thoughts about what the government can do to help them and other marginalized groups of people living in the bottom of society.
