美国凯斯西储大学图书馆学术支持服务研究及启示

Research and Enlightenment of Academic Support Services of Case Western Reserve University

通过对美国凯斯西储大学的主要图书馆——凯尔文斯密斯图书馆的学术支持服务内容进行调研和分析来探索适合我国高校图书馆的学术支持服务体系。通过网络调研法、文献调研法和E-mail调研法,从人员构成、资源建设、研究导航、嵌入式服务、机构知识库建设以及数字学术服务等方面对该校图书馆的学术支持服务开展情况进行调研。通过借鉴凯尔文斯密斯图书馆的内容丰富、注重嵌入到学校师生学术活动全过程的教学服务以及专业性强的数字学术服务等学术支持服务经验和模式,提出国内高校图书馆开展学术支持服务工作的启示。

Through the research and analysis of the academic support service of the main library in Case Western Reserve University Kelvin Smith Library in the United States,the academic support service system which is suitable for Chinese university libraries is explored.Using the methods of network research,literature research and e-mail research,the academic support services of the Kelvin Smith Library of Case Western Reserve University are systematically researched and analyzed from its academic support services,such as staffing,collection resources,research guides,embedded services,Institutional Repositories,and digital scholarship services.By learning from the experience and mode of KSL,which is rich in content and focuses on the whole process of academic activities embedded in teachers and students and professional digital scholarship services,the enlightenments of academic support service in domestic university libraries are put forward.
