With the deep development of the Belt and Road,Chinese designers began to go abroad to undertake more foreign aid construction projects.Unlike domestic architectural design, the design of foreign aid construction projects will inevitably conflict with the local traditional design style. Therefore, how to better choose the reasonable localization design strategy and ease the conflicts in foreign aid architectural design is one of the key problems to be solved in the current foreign aid architectural design research.Based on the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),the study analyzes 13 factors of foreign aid construction projects, and finds out the optimal localization design strategy for the project. This evaluation method can balance the invisible and obvious contradictions in foreign aid architectural design, and provide effective reference for designers to carry out scientific foreign aid architectural design. Finally,it is concluded that Chinese excellent designers should not only pay attention to the local natural and cultural environment of the aided countries, but also pay attention to the exchange and integration of Chinese and foreign architectural culture,so as to realize the effective protection of the world architectural diversity.
