四夷认知的形成与华夏观念的确立

The Barbarian Cognition's Formation and Huaxia Concept's Establishment

先秦的四夷认知,与华夏族群的形成及自我体认有着紧密的关联。华夏族群的形成肇端自夏代,夏人在与东夷诸族群的联合和斗争的过程中,已经产生了一定的他者认知;及至殷商,商人所形成的五方格局及内外服制,深刻地影响到后代的天下观念;到了西周,华夏族群才得以形成,华夏观念也逐渐确立。周人开始以成周(中国)为中心,构建四夷框架,最终才奠定了以华夷五方格局为基本内容的古代天下观。

The pre-Qin’s cognition of barbarians is closely related to the formation of Huaxia’s ethnic group and its self-recognition. The Huaxia’s ethnic group originated in the Xia Dynasty. The Xia people had developed a certain perception of the others in the process of alliance and struggle with the barbarian ethnic groups in the east. Up to the Yin dynasty, people had formed Five Square Patterns and Internal and External system, which profoundly influenced the view of the world in future generations. It was until the Western Zhou Dynasty that Huaxia’s ethnic group was formed, and the concept of Huaxia was gradually established. People began to form a Zhou-centered barbarian framework, thus to establish the ancient view of the world based on the Huayi Five Square Pattern at last.
