Study on the Translation from Perspective of Cognitive Metaphor:a Case Study on The Assistant

小说语言的转换涉及人们对语言意义的认知以及语言深层含义的语用效果,这些都为隐喻在翻译中的意义传达奠定了基础。以美国犹太作家伯纳德·马拉默德小说《店员》中的语言隐喻转换为研究对象,通过其语言风格的隐喻性分析了《店员》所展现的认知隐喻现象对语言习得及翻译的作用,进一步探讨了小说《店员》中的语言风格在语言转换中的作用。

The transformation of novel language involves people’s cognition of language meaning and the pragmatic effect on the deep meaning of languages,which lays a foundation for the meaning transmission of metaphor in translation.This paper takes the transformation of language metaphors in The Assistant as the research object,and analyzes the effect of cognitive metaphor on language acquisition in The Assistant through metaphor quality of its language style,and further probes into the effect of language style in language conversion on the basis of The Assistant.
