摘要
The right-wing conservative force in the Republican Party is exerting increasingly prominent influence on the United States’domestic and foreign affairs.Regarding the US policy toward China,previous Republican administrations were rational and pragmatic in general,with engagement and cooperation as the main policy orientation.However,under the Trump administration,the Republican Party’s policy toward China has undergone fundamental changes,which is not only related to Trump’s personal ruling style,but also due to the conservative force on which his governance depends.From the perspective of the conservative force’s influence on Washington’s policy-making,this article analyzes the historical evolution of China policy under Republican administrations,and makes a judgment on the trajectory of the Republican Party’s China policy.
