The impact of COVID-19 on blood supply chain management and the coutermeasures

摘要 目的通过新型冠状病毒肺炎(COVID-19)疫情期间血液采集和供应情况的调查,系统分析疫情对血液供应链管理的影响和对策。方法利用本中心血液信息管理系统(BIS),统计在对疫情一级响应后20 d的相关数据,并和2018、2019年农历同期比较进行统计学分析。结果在本研究20 d统计期的前10 d,全血采集和发放和前2年同比,除采集量和2018年同期有明显差异(P<0.05)外,其他则无统计学差异,而机采血小板均无明显差异;后10 d的居家隔离管控期,全血和机采血小板的采集和发放均急剧下降,均较2018和2019年有明显差异(P均<0.05)。结论疫情对采供血机构血液供应链影响严重,尤其在居家隔离管控期间,在应对策略中,利用血站和医院的联动机制和对库存集中控制能有效实施血液库存管理,对保障血液安全和急救供应具有重要意义,对今后类似事件的应对有一定的借鉴。 Objective To investigate the blood collection and supply during the COVID-19 epidemic, systematically analyze the impact of the epidemic on the blood supply chain, so as to develop further countermeasures. Methods Relevant data in 20 days after the first-level response to the epidemic was collected through blood information management system(BIS) of our blood center, and then compared with the corresponding period in lunar 2018 and 2019.Results As compared with prior two years, no differences in collection and issuing in the first 10 days was observed by apheresis platelet, but by whole blood, as the whole blood collection in 2020 declined significantly(vs. 2018). As to the late 10 days in the study period, the collection and issuing both in apheresis platelet and whole blood declined sharply due to mass lockdown and home sheltering policies(P<0.05). Conclusion The blood supply chain was seriously impacted by the epidemic, especially during the period of home sheltering. Such countermeasures as collaboration between blood centers and hospitals, and centralized management of blood inventory, were significant to ensure blood supply and safety, which could provide references for coping with such events in the future.
