Textual Research and Analysis on the Propaganda of Historical Materialism in Weekly Review and Construction

“五四”时期,《星期评论》《建设》两大理论刊物以强大的编辑和撰稿阵容,借助对经典著作的译介和吸纳,从四个方面较为完整地阐释了唯物史观的基本原理,并在唯物史观视野下对中国社会现实问题进行了深入考察。尽管在研究与宣传过程中,两刊存在若干不臻之处,但其传播唯物史观的重要贡献仍然值得肯定。

During the May 4th period,the two major theoretical journals,Weekly Review and Construction,with a strong lineup of editors and writers,explained the basic principles of historical materialism from four aspects with the help of translation and absorption of classical works,and made a thorough investigation of the realistic problems of Chinese society in the perspective of historical materialism.Although there are some inadequacies in the process of research and propaganda,their important contributions to the dissemination of historical materialism are still worthy of affirmation.
