The Color Purple is the most important novel of American contemporary black female writer,Alice Walker.The work outlines the origins of the black girl,Celie,from the state of numbness to the gradual awakening,the courage of facing the living situation and the ultimate recovery of the self.It delicately and fully demonstrates the beginning of feminism in the black society.The study of this issue in this article will be briefly illustrated in terms of the accumulation of self independence experience of black women,the construction of the alliance of female sisterhood and the promotion of the change of the common growth of the two genders.
