从全球变暖问题谈科学家的社会责任

On the Social Responsibility of Scientists from the Perspective of Global Warming

自法国物理学家Pourier于1824年提出"温室效应"这一概念以来,"全球变暖"似乎已成为教科书般的事实,然而科学界却对此存在分歧,不少科学家认为全球变暖活动是由人类活动导致的结果,也有科学家认为是自然因素而非人类活动主导了气候变化,还有部分科学家气候的变暖很可能只是“地球亿万年自然气候历史的一部分”,与此同时,也有科学家指出全球变暖是一种阴谋论。从全球变暖问题到科学技术的乱用和滥用,在现代社会这样一个科学技术突飞猛进的时代,科学家必须担负起人类社会赋予他们的责任一社会责任,而当代科学家的社会责任主要体现在:(一)确立正确的研究方向,使科技造福于人的责任;(二)充分论证科学技术,避免造福人类的同时带来灾害;(三)对自然负责,维护自然界生态平衡与稳定的责任;(四)参与并协助科学决策,指导政府行为的责任;(五)建设民主科学的责任;(六)尊重科学,严厉打击学术造假;(七)弘扬科学精神,坚决反对与抵制伪科学的责任;(八)普及科技知识,唤醒民众的责任。而和平与发展作为人类社会的主题,也是科学家的社会责任之最高理念,科学家确保科学技术用于维护和平和实现发展才是科技造福人类的真谛。

Since the French physicist put forward the''greenhouse effect"in 1824,the problem of global warming seemed to have become a textbook-like fact.However,the scientific community was divided on this issue.Many scientists believed that global warming was caused by human activities.There were also scientists who believe that natural factors,not human activities,were driving climate change,and some who believe that the warming of the climate was likely to be part of the Earth's eons of natural climate history.Other scientists have suggested that global warming was a conspiracy theory.From the problem of global warming to the misuse and abuse of science and technology,in such an era of rapid development of science&technology in Modem Society,scientists must assume the responsibility that the human society has given them.And the social responsibility of contemporary scientists is mainly embodied in:(1)The responsibility of establishing the right research direction to make science&technology benefit mankind;(2)The full demonstration of science and technology to avoid bringing disasters while benefiting mankind;(3)The responsibility for nature responsibility for maintaining the balance of nature and stability of the natural world;(4)The responsibility for participating in and assisting in scientific decisionmaking and guiding government actions;(5)The responsibility of building democracy and science;(6)The responsibility for respecting science and cracking down on academic fraud;(7)The responsibility for canying forward the scientific spirit and resolutely opposing and resisting pseudoscience;(8)To popularize technological knowledge and arouse people's responsibility.Peace and development are the themes of human society and the highest concept of the social responsibility of scientists.The true meaning of science and technology for the benefit of mankind is that scientists ensure that science and technology are used to maintain peace and achieve development.
