民国年间密印寺遭大火焚毁,他丰厚的庙产为多方势力所觊觎,同时密印寺又亟待重建。太虚大师担任密印寺住持使他的庙产纠纷变得更加复杂,在反对教育界的庙产兴学以及从佃农手里追缴所欠租佃方面,太虚与密印寺僧人之间目标一致,他凭借私人关系有效地保护了庙产的私有属性。但当太虚按照自己的设想规划密印寺的未来时,他的理念与密印寺僧人的目的出现了分歧,太虚希望密印寺成为发展佛教教育的模范丛林,而密印寺僧人更期待它往日庄严的重现。

Since the Miyin Temple was destroyed by fire During the Republic of China,many forces coveted the rich temple property,and the Miyin Temple needed to be rebuilt urgently at the same time.Taixu becomes abbot made the dispute about Miyin temple property more complicated.In the aspect of opposing temple property to set up schools and recovering tenancy from the tenants,Taixu protected the private property of temple depend on his personal relationship.But when Taixu planned the future of Miyin temple according to his own idea,his idea diverged from the aim of the Miyin temple monks.Taixu hoped that Miyin Temple would become a model temple for the development of Buddhist education,and Miyin monks looked forward to its solemn repetition in the past.
