摘要
二语动机自我系统研究近年来受到越来越多学者的关注,但该系统各个维度与语言习得关系的研究结果一直存在较大争议。本文采用元分析的方法探索二语动机自我系统中各维度与语言习得中学习者预期努力和语言成就两个变量之间的关系,并分析相关变量对这一关系的调节效应。70项独立研究的整合结果显示,二语动机自我系统中各个维度与预期努力和语言成就这两个变量之间存在不同程度的相关性,其中,应该二语自我与语言成就之间没有显著的相关性。调节效应分析发现,性别、专业和国别对二语动机自我系统与语言习得的关系起到不同程度的调节效应。
Second language researchers are increasingly interested in L2 Motivational Self System(L2MSS),but controversies concerning the correlation between L2MSS components and language acquisition still exist.The present meta-analysis is focused on the relation between L2MSS components and learners’intended effort and language achievement.Moderation effects were also explored.The meta-analysis included 70 independent samples,and the overall effect indicated that L2MSS components were correlated at varying degrees with intended effort and language achievement.However,no significant correlation was found between ought-to L2 self and language achievement.In addition,the moderator analysis results showed that learners’gender,major,and nationality had varying degrees of moderating effects on the relation between L2MSS and language acquisition.
