王朔的《玩的就是心跳》与莫迪亚诺的《暗店街》结构和情节相似、主题形同而异质。在寻找主题上,前者对后者既有对接与化用,也有戏仿与解构;在呈现方式上,二者都有倒叙手法和侦探小说手法的运用,但二者对其有不同的处理。在人物塑造方面,王朔塑造的“空心人”形象是对莫迪亚诺塑造的“海滩人”形象的偏离与重塑。
