深州张又新事略及其诗校释

The Brief Story of Zhang Youxin from Shenzhou and the Collation and Annotations of His Poems

中唐才子张又新,深州陆泽人。曾祖鷟,被誉为“青钱万选”之大儒;父荐,终官工部侍郎,出使吐蕃时,于吊祭使任上殉职。他本人屡试屡中榜首,时人称为“张三头”。然其人品,被诟“为性倾邪”;官品,贬称“谄事宰相”,被“指为鹰犬”。《唐诗纪事》收录其诗多首,其中三首被清代修纂《全唐诗》的词臣选作与崔护、李群玉的重出诗。今试予厘清并校释之。

Zhang Youxin,a talented scholar in the Mid-Tang Dynasty,was born in Luze,Shenzhou.His greatgrandfather,named Zhuo,was praised as a great Confucian of“qingqian wanxuan”which referred to those excellent literary talents;His father,named Jian,was an attendant in the Ministry of Works in feudal China,which was his final official post.He died at the post of being an envoy when he was sent to Tubo to condole and offer sacrifices.Since he always ranked first in every test he took part in,people at that time called him“Zhang Santou”.However,his character was abused as being evil;he was also belittled as“a gossip prime minister”and“a hired thug”.The Chronicle of Tang Poetry included many of his poems,three of which were chosen by the officials who compiled The Collection of All Tang Poetry in the Qing Dynasty as the same poems by Cui Hu and Li Qunyu.This paper attempts to clarify,collate and annotate them.
