As a type of mandatory formulaic activity featuring repetition and norm carried out among public security organs,the police ceremony conveys the police officers'professional spirit and core value through symbols and standardized ritual drill.The ceremony,rich in content and diversified in form,can fall into three categories,namely rite of passage,celebration ceremony and commemorative ceremony.As a form of cultural manifestation,the police ceremony is composed of a series of distinctive police symbols conveying such symbolic meaning as the police's core value and belief.
