The Identification of the Mistakes About Seat of Shun’an Jun During Northern Song Dynasty

北宋淳化三年(992)置顺安军于河北唐兴寨以抵御辽国,至道三年(997)又将高阳县划归顺安军管辖。明清以后,宋至道三年顺安军徙治高阳县的说法开始流行,并多为现代学者所认同。但按照北宋相关史料记载,并结合当时的地理格局分析,北宋政和年间(1111—1118)以前,顺安军当治唐兴寨,在今河北省安新县安州镇,与高阳县治所不在同一地,属于北宋时期河北行政区划出现“州军与附郭县治所不同”的特殊情况。

In 992 A.D,Northern Song Dynasty established Shun’an Jun at Tangxing Zhai in Hebei area in order to defend the invasions from Liao Dynasty,and then incorporated Gaoyang Xian in Shun’an Jun in 997.Since Ming and Qing Dynasties,it has been common sense that in 997 Shun’an Jun moved its seat to the seat of Gaoyang Xian.According to the literature about Northern Song Dynasty,combining with the geographical pattern then,before the period from 1111 to 1118,the seat of Shun’an Jun probably located in Tangxing Zhai,now is the seat of Anzhou Town of Anxin County in Hebei Province,instead of the seat of Gaoyang Xian,which belonged to the particular situation that Zhou or Jun had different seats from their Xian in Hebei during Northern Song Dynasty.
