The British suspense novel The Woman in White successfully created three typical female images:Laura,Anne,Marianne and Mrs Eleanor.In the twists and turns of the story,through the way of narrating by different narrators,the author Wilkie Collins vividly displays these three female images with distinct personalities.Based on the perspective of feminism and the plot of the novel,this paper analyzes the typical female characters,helping readers better understand Wilkie Collins'thoughts of feminism,the social life of British women at that time and promote people to care about the survival and living conditions of women.
