Research progress on bioactivity of alginate oligosaccharides

褐藻胶寡糖(alginate oligosaccharide,AOS)是褐藻胶降解而产生的1种功能性寡糖,大小在2~25个糖单元不等,其水溶性强,稳定性高,而且具有免疫调节、抗肿瘤、抑菌、降血压、肠道菌群调节等多种生物学活性,在药物研发、保健食品功能开发和农业应用等领域具有广泛的应用前景。本文主要综述了褐藻胶寡糖在医药、保健食品等领域的生物活性和应用。

Alginate oligosaccharide(AOS)is a kind of functional oligosaccharide produced by the degradation of alginate.It ranges in size from 2 to 25 sugar units and has strong solubility and high stability.AOS has a variety of biological activities such as immune regulation,antitumor,antibacterial,antihypertensive,gut microbiota regulation and other biological activities.Thus,AOS has a wide range of applications in the fields of drug researches,food developments and agricultural applications.This article reviews the recent advances in our understanding of the biological activities of AOS.
