Ship Microplastic Pollution and Prevention Countermeasures

The paper introduces the sources and hazards of microplastics pollution, analyzes the main problems in the prevention and control of microplastics pollution from ships, and provides suggestions on the study of the source and proportion of microplastics from ships, relevant amendments for Annex Ⅳ and Ⅴ of International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships(MARPOL). It also puts forward suggestions on enhancing the control over the reception and disposal of marine plastic litter from ships.
