Objective:To explore the application of McKinsey 7S model in the comprehensive evaluation system of medical consumables suppliers. Methods:The basic theory of McKinsey 7 S model was applied in the standard management of medical consumables. The score method, evaluating card method and implementation detail of medical consumables supplier were formulated according to 7 elements, which included structure, system, style, staff, skills, strategy and common philosophy, and the actuality of hospital. Results:After 7 rounds of consumable supplier ratings, consumable suppliers with green card increased from 4.2%to 18.0%,and suppliers with red card tended to decrease steadily, but the amplitude of decrease was relatively flat. The response time of applying medical consumables, order release time and order completion time have all been significantly reduced, and the efficiency of consumables distribution has been significantly improved. Conclusion:The application of McKinsey’s 7 S model in the construction of a comprehensive evaluation system for medical consumables suppliers can promote the organic combination of system thinking, full participation, system integrity and sound systems, and accelerate the establishments of systemization, normalization, process, standardization, form and other processes of the consumable procurement process, and standardize and enhance the procurement order of medical consumables of hospital.
