李会富编校整理《陶望龄全集》是阳明心学再传弟子、公安派领袖作家、晚明清流政治家兼越中士林白眉陶望龄研究和作品整理的一项可喜成果,但也存在全集不“全”等不足。其中《陶歇庵制义》据明末陈名夏和清初俞长城二书收陶望龄时文40篇,就有遗珠之憾。《皇明文准》等4种珍稀明清时文选本所收的6篇可靠作品,是《陶望龄全集》之《陶歇庵制义》未来可补收的时文佚篇,这些作品有助于全面考察陶望龄的时文成就及其对陶望龄古文创作乃至公安体诗文创作的影响。

The Complete Works of Tao Wangling edited and collected by Li Huifu is a gratifying result of the research conducted by Tao Wangling,who was a disciple of the Wang Yangming School,a representative of Gongan writing style,an incorruptible stateman in the late Ming dynasty and an intellectual elite of Shaoxing,but there exist such deficiencies as incompleteness of his works.Among them,some of the essays were regrettably lost in Tao Wangling’s Eight-Legged Essays which covers 40 articles according to Chen Mingxia in the late Ming dynasty and Yu Changcheng in the early Qing dynasty.The six reliable articles collected from the four rare anthologies of the Ming and Qing dynasties,such as Huang Ming Wen Zhun,are supposed to be edited in the future version of The Complete Works of Tao Wangling.These articles are conducive to a comprehensive investigation into Tao Wangling’s literary achievements of eight-legged essays and their influence on his ancient prose writing and even his Gongan writing style.
