摘要
文章给出了一种FPGA实现的以太网远传模块设计方法。该模块一端提供MII接口,并通过外接以太网物理层(PHY)芯片来实现100 M以太网接入;另一端提供远传接口,数据帧格式遵循HDLC协议,通过外接远传模块来实现8 M的远传接入。通过软件实现100 M以太网和8 M速率远传模块之间的流量控制,实现MAC协议和HDLC协议之间的互相转换。
A FPGA design method of Ethernet remote transmission module is presented in this paper.One end of the module provides a MII interface and 100 M Ethernet access is realized by external Ethernet physical layer(PHY)chip;the other end provides remote transmission interface,the data frame format follows the HDLC protocol,the remote access of 8 M is realized by external remote transmission module.The flow control between 100 M Ethernet and 8 M rate remote transmission module is realized by software,and the mutual conversion between MAC protocol and HDLC protocol is realized.
