手语翻译认证的国际比较

Analysis of Professional Certification for Sign Language Interpreters in Foreign Countries

手语翻译作为聋听沟通的重要渠道,正逐步走向职业化。在西方国家确立手语翻译职业化地位的漫长过程中,手语翻译专业认证机构和培训体系在全球不断建立,极大地推动了手语翻译的专业化发展。手语翻译已经成为得到公众认可的职业,手语翻译也被认为是普通口译的分支。制约中国手语翻译职业化发展的瓶颈在于缺乏手语翻译的教育培训、认证标准、认证机构以及行业监管。本文对国外手语翻译专业认证的机构、方式和优劣进行比较,从而为中国手语翻译的专业认证和培养提供借鉴。

Sign language interpretation,an important communication tool between deaf and hearing people,is gradually professionalized.In the long process of the professionalization of sign language interpretation in western countries,professional certification organizations as well as training systems for sign language interpreters have been continuously established globally,which has greatly promoted the development of sign language interpretation professionalization.Sign language interpretation has been recognized and supported as a profession,also considered as a branch of general interpretation by the public.The bottleneck of sign language interpretation professionalization in China is the lack of education and training,certification standards,certification bodies and industry supervision.This paper aims to provide a reference for the certification and training of Chinese sign language interpretation professionalization by comparing the organizations,methods and advantages and disadvantages of sign language interpretation professional certification at home and abroad.
