Intelligent agriculture is an inevitable trend of the modernized agricultural development in China, and its rapid development boosts the requirement for the talent cultivation and instruction models in universities. Intelligent animal husbandry is a primary component of intelligent agriculture and is the important frontier for developing intelligent agriculture. This article analyzes the talent demands of animal husbandry in the era of intelligent agriculture, and explores the talent cultivation model of undergraduate students majoring in animal husbandry in order to provide references for the future reform of animal husbandry professionals in colleges and universities.
