大学英语在新工科建设中有着重要的作用。英语教学不仅贯穿新工科整个课程体系,还对学生世界观的形成,专业认知的提升,自主学习能力的提升有积极的作用。新工科背景下大学英语改革应以优秀本科教学七原则为核心,在教学各环节融合专业技术,以提升学生在多学科交叉背景下解决工程问题的能力为目标,从教学内容、教学方法、教育理念、教学环境等方面进行系统性的改革。

College English plays an important role in the construction of the "emerging engineering education". English teaching not only runs through the entire curriculum system of the "emerging engineering education", but also has a positive effect on the formation of students’ world outlook, the improvement of professional cognition and the improvement of independent learning ability. Under the background of "emerging engineering education", the reform of College English should take the "seven principles" of excellent undergraduate teaching as the core, integrate professional technology in all aspects of teaching, aim at improving students’ ability to solve engineering problems under the background of multi-disciplinary intersection, and carry out systematic reform from the aspects of teaching content, teaching method, educational idea and teaching environment.
