摘要
毛泽东是一代伟人,也是一位诗人。他的诗词不仅在国内家喻户晓,更以其丰富的思想内涵和宏伟的艺术气势而远渡重洋,成为世界人民所喜爱的艺术珍品。然而,毛泽东诗词英译过程中,是否完整地再现了源语言的信息和美感呢?本文以1972年巴恩斯顿版、1976年官方版和1993年许渊冲版三个版本的《沁园春•雪》英译为例,从美学角度对比赏析三个译作中所传达的意美、音美和形美,对古典诗词英译做一些探讨。
Mao Zedong is a great politician as well as a poet.His poetry,as the world’s favorite art treasures,is not only famous at home,but also popular among the other countries with its rich ideological connotation and magnificent artistic momentum.However,in the process of translating Mao Zedong’s poems into English,has the information and aesthetic perception of the source language been completely reproduced?Taking three English translations of“SNOW--to the tune of Chin Yuan Chun”which are"Qinyuanchun·Snow"by Barnes in 1972,the official version in 1976,and the 1993 version by Xu Yuanchong as examples,this paper compares and analyzes the connotation beauty,sound beauty and form beauty conveyed in them,and makes a brief discussion on English translation of Chinese classical poetry.
