近代中国留学教育探析

On The Education of Studying Abroad in Modern China

改革开放以后,中国留学教育重新得到发展,作为当今世界的出境留学大国,中国留学生遍布全球。但是,中国留学教育的发展并不是一帆风顺的,经历了艰难的起步和潮涨潮落的变迁。因此,文章试图整理近代以来中国留学教育的历史脉络,回顾留学教育发展的五个阶段及其走向,发现近代留学思想与学习内容是经历了从技术到制度、文化的过程。然后,联系现实,指出了留学教育的现代化实质及其历史作用,并提出了留学教育过程崎岖、中体西用以及价值选择等三个问题。

After the reform and opening up,China's overseas education has redeveloped.As a major country of studying abroad in the world today,Chinese students are all over the world.However,the development of China's overseas education is not smooth,and has experienced a difficult start and changes with ups and downs.Therefore,this paper attempts to sort out the historical context of China's overseas education since modern times,reviews the five stages of the development of overseas education and its trend,and finds that the thought and content of studying abroad in modern times have experienced a process from technology to system and culture.Then in connection with the reality,this paper points out the modernization essence and historical role of overseas education,and puts forward three problems:the rugged process of overseas education,the application of Chinese culture to the West and the choice of value.
