摘要
《〈红楼梦〉的原型与寓意》是浦安迪的处女作,自诞生以来,就在红学界引起了广泛的关注。伴随着钱锺书、李欧梵、周汝昌等学人的肯定,关于本书的争议也一直没有停息,主要集中于结构内容上的下笔千言,离题万里,以及寓意批评的以偏概全,违背文本。该书的重点在于“原型与寓意”,它是作为被阐释者,也是阐释的工具,而不是一个抽象的概念去生搬硬套在《红楼梦》上。在红学研究趋于反思转型的今天,重新审视这本著作,可以发现其独特学术价值在于作者努力构建跨文化语境下的文本阐释,帮助《红楼梦》乃至中国文化真正介入世界经典阅读以及学术研究中。
Archetype and Allegory in the Dream of the Red Chamber is Andrew H.Plaks's debut work.Since its birth,it has attracted extensive attention in the studies of the Dream of the Red Chamber.With the affirmation of Qian Zhongshu,Li Oufan,Zhou Ruchang and other scholars,the controversy about this book has never stopped,mainly focusing on the writing of a thousand words on the structure and content,far from the subject,as well as the moral criticism of biased generalization,contrary to the text.The focus of the book is on Archetype and Allegory,which is interpreted as both an interpreter and a tool for interpretation,rather than an abstract concept to mechanically copy A Dream of Red Chamber.Today,when the study of A Dream of Red Chamber tends to reflect and transform,we can re-examine this work,and find that its unique academic value lies in the author's efforts to construct a textual interpretation in a cross-cultural context,helping A Dream of Red Chamber and even Chinese culture get involved in the reading of world classics and academic research.This is a useful attempt and continues to inspire Chinese and western researchers.
