The contents of Mao Zedong s educational values include mainly that education should take the people as the principal value, serve the national politics and the economic construction, and education should be equally devoted to moral education, intellectual education and physical education so as to train talented people of all-round development. In contemporary Chinese society, Mao Zedong s educational values can still give some enlightenment to the balanced development of urban and rural education, the relation between education and politics, the relation between education and economy, and the standard of talented persons.
