摘要
大型文献规模大、金额高,但因与其他书刊采用同一标引系统,难于深度揭示其内容,从而影响了文献的利用,这是目前图书馆普遍面临的问题。而CASHL大型特藏作为大型文献的一种独特类型,因各馆联合建设,面临的深度揭示困难更为棘手。文章以图书馆大型文献的深度揭示与服务为目标,以CASHL大型特藏为例,阐述了实现深度、系统标引,丰富检索信息、建立交叉索引,整合分散资源、提高工作效率的需求。随后,引入国外特藏常用的开源平台ArchivesSpace(简称AS),并针对大型特藏的需求,对AS系统内核及特征进行分析。最后,为验证AS的适用性,文章以CASHL大型特藏之一的《希腊铭文集成》为例,进行实际应用后得出结论:应用AS系统可以有效拓展各馆对大型特藏MARC描述的细节和深度,树型结构更切合大型特藏的结构需求,输出的通用格式EAD更方便进行数据交流,其开源属性更方便部署和协作使用。文章进一步指出,AS系统还可以普遍应用到一般类别大型文献的深度揭示与服务。
Grand literature is large in scale and high in value.As it is usually cataloged as regular books and periodicals,it is difficult to reveal its content in-depth.This is a common problem faced by libraries.As a unique type of grand literature,the Grand Special Collections of CASHL is more difficult to reveal due to the nature of joint construction by member libraries.This article expounds the need of cataloging in-depth and systematically;enriching information retrieving as well as establishing cross-references;integrating distributed resources while improving work efficiency.Subsequently,the researcher introduced ArchivesSpace(AS),a widely used platform in cataloging of special collections globally after analyzing the core and characteristics of AS.The article also took Greek Inscription Integratio,one of the Grand Special Collections of CASHL,as an example to verify the applicability of AS.The researcher came up with the following conclusions:firstly,the application of the AS would effectively expand the details and depth of the MARC descriptions of Grand Special Collections by each library.Secondly,the tree structure provided by AS is more suitable for the structural needs of Grand Special Collections.Moreover,the common format of EAD is more convenient for data exchange.Finally,the open-source properties of AS make it more convenient for deployment and collaborative use,with suggestions of the potential usage widely applied to the in-depth disclosure and service of large-scale documents in general.
