中医药基于氧化应激途径防治糖尿病视网膜病变的机制进展

Mechanism progress of Traditional Chinese Medicine in prevention and treatment of diabetic retinopathy based on oxidative stress pathway

糖尿病性视网膜病变(DR)是一种慢性微血管疾病,是糖尿病患者视力丧失的主要原因。DR的发展是一个复杂的病理过程,持续的高血糖可进行性损伤视网膜,其机制尚未完全阐明,但氧化应激已被证明是DR发病的重要发病机制。研究表明,氧化应激可通过细胞的自燃、自噬及凋亡或神经退行性变引起机体炎症、线粒体功能障碍,甚至细胞死亡,损伤视网膜,最终导致DR。目前临床应用的各种治疗方法都不能根本阻止本病的发展,关于中医药治疗DR的报道已经很多,受到世界各地越来越多医学界人士的关注。本文就中医药通过氧化应激途径防治DR进行综述。

Diabetic retinopathy(DR)is a chronic microvascular disease,which is the leading cause of vision loss in diabetic patients.The development of DR is a complex pathological process.Continuous hyperglycemia progressively damages the retina.The mechanism has not yet been fully elucidated,but oxidative stress has been proven to be an important pathogenesis of DR.Studies have shown that oxidative stress could cause inflammation,mitochondrial dysfunction,and even cell death through cell spontaneous combustion,autophagy and apoptosis or neurodegeneration,damage the retina,and ultimately lead to the formation of DR.At present,various treatment methods of clinical application cannot fundamentally prevent the development of this disease.There have been many reports on the treatment of DR by Traditional Chinese Medicine,and it has attracted the attention of more and more medical professionals around the world.This article reviewed the prevention and treatment of DR by oxidative stress pathway in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
