Treating Functional Constipation Based on the Theory of“Kidney is the Gate of the Stomach”in Huang-di’s Inner Classic

对《黄帝内经》“肾为胃之关”进行理论溯源,分析各时期医家对此条文的解读,认为“肾为胃之关”的理论内涵,应包括“脾胃为气血生化之源,气机升降之枢纽”与“肾为脾胃升清降浊、阴阳平衡之关键”。功能性便秘的治疗,应立足于“(脾)胃”与“肾”两个核心脏腑,将“治(脾)胃应以升降为本,气血为要”与“治肾当以阴阳为根本”作为核心治则,进一步发挥“肾为胃之关”理论的指导作用,以期对功能性便秘的临床辨治有所裨益。

This article traces the origin of“kidney is the gate of the stomach”in Huang-di’s Inner Classic,analyzes the interpretation of this provision by doctors in various periods.It holds that the theoretical connotation of“kidney is the gate of the stomach”should include“spleen and stomach is the source of qi and blood,the hub of qi ascending and descending”and“the kidney is the key to the ascending and descending turbid of spleen and stomach and the balance of Yin and Yang.”The treatment of functional constipation should be based on the two core organs of“spleen and stomach”and“kidney”.It also takes“The treatment of the spleen and stomach should be based on the qi ascending and descending,qi and blood”and“the treatment of kidney should be based on Yin and Yang”as the core therapeutic principle,further play the guiding role of the theory of“kidney is the gate of the stomach”,in order to help the clinical syndrome differentiation of functional constipation.
