摘要
1965年成立的美国院校研究协会是美国院校研究专业化、制度化的重要标志和主要组织力量。在近六十年的发展历程中,美国院校研究协会逐步形成了以董事会为领导核心,由AIR办公室、各委员会和国内外附属机构等多元结构组成的专业组织,实行“志愿领导+专业治理”运行方式,在推动院校研究专业化发展、为高等教育提供数据支持和科学决策、促进会员专业发展三方面发挥积极作用,成为美国乃至全世界院校研究有效开展的专业引领者和首要践行者。探究美国院校研究协会的发展演变、组织结构和功能,可以为中国院校研究的专业化发展与相关专业组织的规范化建设提供重要参考和有效借鉴。
The establishment of the Association for Institutional Research(AIR)in 1965 is the significant symbol and main organizational force of the specialization and institutionalization of American institutional research.During the past nearly 60 years,AIR has gradually formed a professional organization with the board of directors,executive office,committees and affiliated organizations,and carried out the operation model of voluntary leadership and professional governance.AIR has played an active role in promoting the professional development of institutional research,providing data-supporting and scientific decision-making for higher education,and advancing the professional development of its members.Actually,AIR has become the authoritative leader and primary practitioner of institutional research in America and even around the world.Exploring the history,organizational structure and function of AIR can provide important references for the specialization and institutionalization of Chinese institutional research.
