The Left-behind World in Literature--A Survival Picture of Left-behind Women in Urbanization Process

20世纪八九十年代以来,在现代化、城市化、市场化大潮的推动下,向城求生成为农民的一种价值取向和精神实践。但受城乡二元结构体制的限制,中国农村出现一个独特而庞大的留守妇女群体。世纪之交的乡土作家以强烈的现实主义精神,将笔触深入到乡村留守女性的心灵深处,书写出城乡二元结构下乡村留守女性生存图景,在其创作中展现了一个苦难与艰辛交融、寂寞与焦虑并存、留守与进城两难的留守世界,传达出对社会转型期乡村现实问题的思考,以及对现代化进程中乡村女性命运的关注。

Due to the tide of marketization,modernization and urbanization,earning a living in cities has become a sort of value orientation and spiritual practice since the 1980s&1990s in the 20th century.However,resulting from the limitation of the dual structure of urban and rural areas,a unique and huge group of left-behind women emerged in rural area of China.At the turning point of the 21th century,with a fierce spirit of realism,the rural local writers drove their pen points deeply into the minds of left-behind rural women,they drew a picture of the living status of rural left-behind women in the dual structure of urban and rural areas,they exhibited a left-behind world in their compositions,which mingled misery and hardship,juxtaposed loneliness and anxiety,created a dilemma of either staying in rural area or going into cities,and conveyed their thoughts on the realistic problems in rural area during the period of social transformation,represented their concern on the fate of rural left-behind women in the process of modernization.
