Susceptibility Analysis of Companion Cats and Dogs to SARS-Cov-2 Virus

摘要 严重急性呼吸系统综合症冠状病毒2(SARS-CoV-2)引发了传染病2019冠状病毒病(coronavirus disease 2019,COVID-19)。在全球冠状病毒大流行期间,已有关于猫和狗被感染SARS-Cov-2的报道。为有效防控疫情和缓解宠物爱好者的恐慌,本研究系统回顾和评述在这次新型肺炎(COVID-19)疫情爆发中人类伴侣动物猫和狗的感染案例和研究进展。现有的研究表明,猫容易感染新型冠状病毒,而狗则不易被病毒感染。猫和狗是人类亲密的"朋友",了解它们对SARS-CoV-2的感染性不仅有助于人类在疫情爆发中"友好"地对待它们,还有助于制定COVID-19防控策略,为动物防疫管理模式提供依据。 Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)causes coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).During the global coronavirus pandemic,there have been reports of cats and dogs being infected with SARS-COV-2.In order to effectively prevent and control COVID-19 and alleviate the panic among pet lovers,this study systematically reviews and comments the cases of human companion animal infections in cats and dogs during the COVID-19 outbreak,and summarizes and forecasts them.Existing studies have shown that cats are susceptible to novel coronavirus while dogs are less susceptible to virus infection.Cats and dogs are close"friends"of humans,and understanding their susceptibility to SARS-COV-2 will not only help humans to be"friendly"to them during outbreaks,but also help develop prevention and control strategies for COVID-19 and provide a basis for animal management models.
