传统手工艺的发展演变离不开工具的支撑,工具的现代转化是中国传统手工艺亟待实现的现代转化的重要内容,需要客观、全面、深入地认识。虽然在20世纪下半叶中国传统手工艺工具的现代化已先行展开,但对现代工具存在的认识误区制约了进入21世纪以来的中国传统手工艺的当代发展。尽管传统工具仍是必要的、不可或缺的,但与之相应的低效的生产方式已不能适应传统手工艺现代转化的需要。为建立支撑现有传承成果的社会消费基础,而采用现代工具是传统手工艺发展的必然。传统工具与现代工具各擅所长、互为补益,共同构建技艺传承的完整基础。

The development and evolution of traditional handicraft cannot live without the support of tools.The modern transformation of tools is an important part of the modern transformation of traditional Chinese handicraft,which requires an objective,comprehensive and in-depth understanding.Although the modernization of Chinese traditional handicraft tools has been carried out in the second half of the 20th century,the misunderstanding of modern handicraft tools has restricted the contemporary development of Chinese traditional handicraft since ushering into the 21st century.Although the traditional tools are still necessary and indispensable,the corresponding inefficient production methods cannot meet the needs of the modern transformation of traditional handicraft.In order to establish a social consumption base supporting the existing inheritance,it is inevitable to adopt modern tools for the development of traditional handicraft.Traditional tools and modern tools have their own advantages and complement each other to build a complete foundation for the inheritance of skills.
