Cha and Tuo River Battle between Liao and Choson Dynasties:An Investigation

《辽史》所载茶、陀之战是第三次辽丽战争中的一次决定性战役,此役以高丽胜利而告终。《辽史》所称茶、陀之战即《高丽史》所云龟州之捷,茶、陀之战爆发时间并非《辽史》所载辽圣宗开泰七年(1018年)十二月,而是高丽显宗十年(1019年)二月己丑朔(初一),茶、陀二水为今朝鲜平安北道之川坊江与大宁江。

The Cha and Tuo battle is a decisive campaign in the third war between the Liao and Choson dynasties which ended with the victory of the latter.It was found that this battle outbreak on the February of the 10th year of Xianzong of the Choson dynasty(1019)other than the December of the 7th year in Kaitai period of the Sheng Emperor of the Liao dynasty(1018).The Cha and Tuo River are presently the Chuanfang River and Daning River respectively in North Pyongan in North Korea.
