Objective To explore the effect of process management in the nursing management of cardiovascular medical wards. Methods From May 2017 to April 2018,33 nurses in the cardiovascular medical ward of the hospital were selected as the routine group(using routine care management),and 33 cardiovascular nurses in the hospital from July 2018 to August 2019 were selected. The nurse in the internal medicine ward serves as the management team(adopting process nursing management). The occurrence of adverse events and the quality of care were compared between the two groups. Results The total incidence of adverse events such as falls, bed falling, mishandling, and unqualified sterile materials in the management group was 9.09%,significantly lower than 30.30%in the conventional group(χ^(2)=4.694,P=0.030).The management group's nursing quality evaluation indicators(nursing safety, disinfection and isolation, health education, diet guidance, ward management, service attitude)scores were significantly higher than those of the routine group(t=6.085,10.966,13.303,14.570,14.469,P<0.001).Conclusion Compared with the conventional nursing management model, the process nursing management applied to the cardiovascular medical ward nursing management has a significant effect, can reduce the occurrence of adverse events in the ward, and improve the quality of nursing at the same time.
