Electronic medical records are an important carrier for recording citizens'health information and an important factor affecting health decision-making.The personal data generated by electronic medical records can predict the progress of public health events,assess citizens'health conditions and help improve health behaviors.Based on the connotation of electronic medical records,this article introduces the positive role and existing problems of electronic medical records in the application of health promotion at home and abroad,and proposes the possible development trend of electronic medical records in health promotion,so as to better use the health information in electronic medical records to conduct health promotion research and exploration.
