晚清乡村藏书楼及其地方文化活动管窥——以乐清县为中心

Research on the Rural Libraries and Its Local Cultural Activities in the Late Qing Dynasty:Taking Yueqing County as an Example

多年以来,学术界研究近世藏书楼通常聚焦于名家藏书楼,而分布于僻壤之隅的乡村藏书楼却遭到长期的集体性忽视。文章以晚清乐清县乡村藏书楼为个案,揭示乡村藏书楼的创建与完善所经历的曲折过程,以及独特的购藏活动。乡村藏书楼的主人们以藏书楼为依托,著书立说,保存乡邦文献,参与地方性的文化活动,以此确立了地方社会中的文化领导地位。

For many years,academic research on modern libraries usually focused on the famous ones,while the rural libraries in the remote corner have been ignored for a long time.This paper takes the rural libraries of Yueqing County in the late Qing Dynasty as an example to reveal the tortuous process of the establishment and improvement of the rural libraries,as well as the distinctive purchase activities.The owners of the rural libraries wrote books based on the library,preserved the documents of the country and participated in the local cultural activities,to establish the cultural leadership in the local society.
