In this paper,the performance of ion-membrane caustic soda electrolysis unit is described.It is emphasized that the power consumption of tons of caustic soda is the ultimate index of the performance of the unit,and the relationship between the performance and the production operation cost is analyzed.It shows that the change of ion-membrane cost and electricity price leads to the change of production cost composition.It is emphasized that the performance state and production cost are the criteria for the updating life of ion-membrane or electrode.
