民间精神与童心世界的融合——论常立著《八仙的传说》

The fusion of folk mind and childlike world:on The Legend of the Eight Immortals retold by Chang Li

常立述2017版《八仙的传说》为我们提供了一个在当代语境下,民间文学转化为儿童文学的成功范例,并揭示出儿童文学作家重述民间文学的价值与启示:作家从儿童本位出发,将民间文学与儿童文学的观念与方法融会贯通,不仅传承了故事中最有价值的精神内核,并对此进行了现代转化与书写,而且在故事中创设了一个对健康个体而言不可缺少的过渡性空间,展示了富有幻想色彩的游戏精神如何催生“创造力”和“更好的自我”。凭着尊重儿童的态度和回归文学本位的努力,常立继格林兄弟、卡尔维诺等作家之后,再次展现了介于民间文学与作家文学之间的第三种文体——民间故事作家重述体的风格与传承之力。

2017 edition of The Legend of the Eight Immortals retold by Chang Li provides us with a successful example of the transformation of folk literature into children’s literature in the contemporary context,and reveals the value and enlightenment of the writers’retelling of folk literature:by adopting a children-centred approach and integrating the concepts and methods of folk literature and children’s literature,the writer not only inherits the most valuable spiritual core of the story,but also conveys it in mordern context by making some transformation.In addition,Chang Li creates an indispensable transitional space for a healthy individual in the stories,and shows how a mind full of imaginative game generates“creativity”and“better self”.With the attitude of respecting children and the efforts of returning to the literary standard,Chang Li,following the Grimm Brothers and Calvino,once again demonstrated a third style between folk literature and writer literature,one that is to inherit and retell folktales by a writer.
