文章从“接受”的角度重访“红色维也纳”时期(1919—1934年)的市政住宅建设史,把这段本就浸淫于党派政治之中的历史放置在语言、阐释和意识形态的领域里,考察其如何在不同时空之中、在不同政治诉求之下被重写、被诠释、被移用。20世纪下半叶,“红色维也纳”的住宅建设史激发了种种矛盾杂糅的建筑学知识生产过程,这反过来映照了其本身的复杂性。
The author reexamines Red Vienna’s public housing program(1919-1934) and its critical receptions.Situating this episode of modern architecture-which was itself the radical manifestation of Viennese partisan politics of the 1920s and 1930s-into the domain of language,hermeneutics,and ideology,this paper investigates how Red Vienna’s architectural history was rewritten,reinterpreted,and appropriated as it went through various geographical and temporal displacements.In the second half of the twentieth century,Red Vienna triggered conflictual processes of architectural knowledge production,which would in turn shed light on its own complexities and contradictions.
