The Lexicalization and Its Causes of the Chinese Synonymous Compound Word"Quantity"

现代汉语同义复词“数量”一词来源于上古汉语中的名词性并列短语,历经了词汇化的过程,成词于六朝时期,词义有所变化。所以,以语料为支撑,探索“数量”一词在历史发展中由双音节并列短语并逐渐演变成双音词的过程,分析其词汇化的动因,对其词义的演变作出阐释,有助于汉语史词汇化问题研究走向深入。

The synonymous"quantity"in modern Chinese comes from the noun parallel phrase in ancient Chinese.After the process of lexicalization,the word meaning changed in the Six Dynasties.Therefore,based on the corpus,this paper explores the process of the word"quantity"from disyllabic juxtaposition phrase to disyllabic word in the historical development,analyzes the motivation of its lexicalization,and explains the evolution of its meaning,which is helpful to the study of Chinese historical lexicalization.
