列宾《萨特阔》“失败遭遇”考辨

A Study on the"Failure"of Ilya Repin's Sadko

1876年列宾将公费游学的成果《萨特阔》送回国内展出时,遭到评论界强烈批判。他本人虽凭此画获院士头衔,却也将其视为艺术生涯中的败笔。从《伏尔加河上的纤夫》问世开始,民族主义观念导致了列宾的身份认同与观念认同之间矛盾的加剧,而《萨特阔》则是其摆脱此种观念束缚,探索纯粹艺术语言的尝试之作。

Sadko was the result of the government-sponsored study tour of Ilya Repin, which was strongly criticized by critics when it was sent back and exhibited in Russia in 1876.
