5G时代教育面临的新机遇新挑战

New Opportunities and Challenges for Education in the 5G Era

人类社会正在迈向5G时代,5G和人工智能等新一代信息技术构成的智能互联网将引发新的信息技术革命。当前,5G技术与产业快速发展,将催生智慧教育新生态,为未来教育带来新机遇新挑战。5G具有超高数据速率、大规模连接、低时延、高可靠性等技术特征,在教育领域具有广阔的应用前景,能够优化智慧学习环境,提升学习体验。我国教育未来将面临如何利用国家5G发展战略加快5G教育创新应用研发、依托5G技术提升教育信息化基础设施、凭借5G泛在虚实融合场景延展教育教学空间、借力在线教育优势和经验优化资源配置并促进教育均衡等四大战略机遇。同时,也面临应用场景拓展、师生自然互动、隐私和数据安全、专业人才缺乏、教育治理优化等五大战略挑战。5G时代的教育发展需要加强5G教育应用场景探索、加强5G测试环境建设和5G集成技术研发、加快5G基础设施部署和5G公共服务平台构建,以及加快5G技术知识传播,尤其要重视5G技术促进乡村教育发展的部署。

Human society is stepping into the 5G era.The combination of new-generation information technologies,such as 5G,Artificial Intelligence,and so on,will trigger a new information technology revolution.At present,the rapid development of 5G technology and industry will give birth to a new ecology of smart education and bring new opportunities and challenges to future education.5G has the technical characteristics of ultra-high data rate,large-scale connection,low delay,high reliability,and so on.It has broad application prospects in education and can optimize smart learning environments and enhance learning experiences.In the future,it will face four strategic opportunities,namely,how to use the national 5G development strategies to expand innovative applications of 5G technology in education,how to use 5G technology to improve the ICT infrastructure in schools,how to use 5G technology to extend the teaching and learning space,and how to use advantages and experiences of online-education to optimize the resource allocation and promote the education balance.Simultaneously,it also faces five challenges:expanding 5G application scenarios,the natural interaction between teachers and students,the privacy and data security,the lack of professionals,and the optimization of education governance.Finally,in the 5G era,we need to explore 5G application scenarios in education;construct 5G test environments and enhance the research and development of 5G integrated technologies;deploy 5G infrastructures and construct 5G public service platforms;and disseminate 5G technology knowledge,with particular attention to the needs of rural areas.
