Objective:Through the investigation of"emotion regulation self-efficacy"and"emotion regulation strategies"on the mechanism of the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD),it provides empirical evidence for the prevention and treatment of PTSD for people experiencing traumatic events such as COVID-19.Methods:Eight months after the Ya'an earthquake,a total of 550 students from three junior high schools in Lushan County, the hardest-hit area, were selected to participate in this study through a questionnaire survey. Results:The detection rate of PTSD was 48.11%,and there was a gender difference, the symptoms of PTSD were significantly higher in girls than in boys(t=-3.79,P<0.001,M male=25.23,M femal=32.85);both reappraisal strategy, and PTSD symptoms were significantly related to NEG;both NEG and reappraisal strategy were significant factors in predicting PTSD symptoms(the total predictive power was 8.3%,F=8.19,P<0.001);and reappraisal strategy partially mediated the relationship between NEG and PTSD symptoms, the mediating effect accounted for 23.94%of the total variance. Conclusion:The NEG could predict the PTSD symptoms not only directly, but also indirectly by the mediating role of reappraisal strategy.
