中国社会工作专业的重建——一个时代与经历的回顾

Reconstruction of Professional Social Work in China

本文结合笔者亲身经历与观察,回顾和反思中国社会工作重建的早期探索史,在特定时代背景下彰显使命感。广州中山大学与香港大学在1986-1989年的3年合作计划,是中国社会工作教育与研究重建的正式发端。在国际水准框架下全面系统地举办专业本科教育和师资培训,可喻为国内社会工作专业重建的“黄埔一期”。中山大学迈出了中国社会工作专业重建第一步,学术传统在专业引领的早期努力与成就中加以概括。香港大学对内地社会工作专业重建(重新引进)的早期贡献,也通过支持两个“黄埔一期”班及接纳内地首个社会工作留学生的事实加以记载。最后将作者赴美攻博经历稍加分享,并提出有关中国社会工作国际化与本土化的一些初步看法。

Based on the author’s experiences and observations,this article reviews and reflects on the early history of the rebuilding of professional social work in China's Mainland with a sense of mission during the special era.Social work education and research in China's Mainland was initiated by a three-year cooperative project between University of Hong Kong(HKU)and Sun Yat-sen University at Guangzhou(SYSU);professional education of undergraduate students and training of faculty,systematically conducted with international standards,are likened to“the first phase of Whampoa”in China’s modern history.The academic tradition of SYSU’s program as the first leading force in the rebuilding of professional social work is indi-cated in reviewing its early efforts and achievements.The contribution of HKU Department of Social Work and Social Administration in(re-)introducing social work in China's Mainland is also recognized with the joint venture as well as its acceptance of the first mainlander into its graduate program.Finally,the author’s experience and observation in pursuing doctoral study at University of California at Los Angeles(UCLA)are briefly described with some initial sharing of thoughts on both internationalization and indigenization of social work in China.
