新中国建立到改革开放前,我国的医疗卫生事业发展迅速,这与毛泽东对新中国的医疗卫生建设卓有成效的领导分不开。面对新中国成立初医疗卫生工作的困难,毛泽东对我国的医疗卫生事业发展作出了重要贡献,表现在坚持党对医疗卫生工作的领导,倡导和发动以除四害为中心的爱国卫生运动,消灭血吸虫病,提倡中西医结合,高度重视中医工作,把医疗卫生工作的重点放到农村去等。在毛泽东领导和关心下,新中国医疗卫生事业建设取得了伟大的成就。

Between the founding of New China and the reform and opening up,China’s health service developed rapidly,which was inseparable from Mao Zedong’s effective leadership in the medical and health construction of New China.Faced with the difficulties in medical and health work at the beginning of the founding of new China,Mao Zedong made important contributions to the development of health service in our country,which are manifested in adhering to the party’s leadership in medical and health work,advocating and launching a patriotic health campaign centering on eliminating the four pests,eliminating schistosomiasis,advocating the integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine,attaching great importance to the work of traditional Chinese medicine,and putting the focus of medical and health work in the countryside.Under Mao Zedong’s leadership and care,great achievements have been made in the construction of health services in New China.
