摘要
2018年1月,教育部发布了《普通高等学校本科专业类教学质量国家标准(外国语言文学类)》;2020年春,教育部高等学校外国语言文学类专业教学指导委员会颁发了《普通高等学校本科外国语言文学类专业教学指南》。这两个文件的颁布引发了广泛讨论。本文将围绕某些争论的焦点,从英语专业的知识内涵、社会使命入手,分析《国标》和《指南》的得失,并针对英语专业目前存在的问题,提出一些粗浅的改革建议。
The National Standards of Teaching Quality for Undergraduate Foreign Language and Literature Major(hereinafter referred to as The Standards)and The Teaching Guide for Undergraduate English Major(hereinafter referred to as The Guide)were promulgated successively in January,2018 and 2020.Since the promulgation of the two documents,heated debating about English as a discipline in China has been going on nationwide.The present paper,by focusing upon the disciplinary affiliation with and the social mission of English studies,purports to make some comments on the two documents.In so doing,the paper gives some suggestions on what should be done in China’s English education.
